Alibaba Damo Nanhu Industry Park Research and Development
Alibaba Damo Nanhu Industry Park is the first headquarters of Alibaba Damo Academy, this project integrates the most technologically advanced research laboratories, visitors and exhibition centers, and ancillary facilities, to build a world-class scientific research institute on the banks of Nanhu Lake in Yuhang District, Hangzhou. The resulting design appears like a Bodhi leaf floating on the surface of the Nanhu Lake, embodying the graceful élan of Hangzhou.

Hyperlane Park consists of 12 plots, spanned across the sky garden corridor, overlooking the city and project entrances. Designed as a 2.4 km continuous urban landscaped corridor, the sky walkway is a leisure space that cultivates a live-work dynamic. The project is proximal to a music conservatory. Inspired by syllabic rhythms and sounds, the design fosters this musical motif through six different groups of architectural forms. The fluid layout of the design grants the building unity with its surrounding textures to highlight the project's harmonious blend with its community.

SZ Int’l Satellite Concourse Airport
The Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Satellite Concourse is a key step in the expansion project of one of the most important aviation hubs in South China. The Satellite Concourse will support the growing needs of the airport and serve up to 22 million passengers per annum. Arranged on the airport’s central axis with Terminal 3 and the future Terminal 2, the buildings are efficiently connected by the Automated People Mover system, as well as the baggage handling and goods delivery systems.

Project inspiration comes from the oriental philosophy: gathering energy and blending all together. The upward form echoes the excellent four-direction view from the air, with the plan of transform from square to windmill shape. The design partial cut corners taking the advantage of the Windmill-shape-volume, ensuring the comfort of the surrounding buildings, as well as the elegant overall tower image. The smooth streamlined volume implies the philosophical concept of flow and balance, while the gradient changing plan ingeniously and accurately solves the different program requirements.

As the Bridgehead of Zhuhai-Macau port, Zhuhai Hengqin mix-use project impresses people with streamline appearance and abundant mix-use programs: two high-rise office tower, podium retail,rooftop garden and infinity pool. The design concept is inspired by elegant cruising movement of Dragon Fish. The contour of streamlined tower and Dragon Fish dynamic physique echoes perfectly.

In order to achieve such elegant form, state-of-the-art digital techniques are used to rationalize the complex shape and achieve cost control. The project is the combination of traditional Chinese totem and contemporary architecture development.

The architecture is grandeur like an entrance gate at Jiaomen riverside, symbolising Nansha Free Trade Zone as a maritime gateway to the Belt and Road open to future opportunities and challenges. The building form goes well with morphology, allowing diversified silhouettes from different perspectives with the programmatically logical, weaved geometric blocks.

New Huanggang Port will become an iconic gateway for Shenzhen, the Greater Bay Area, and China. It is highly efficient, fully adaptable, green, and sustainable. To pay respect, the priority is to inject new life into these old buildings while protecting them. The rebirth of the old factory building is not only about the repair and renovation of the building, but also the endowment of new functions to integrate into the urban development, making itself an indispensable existence in citizens' lives.

The design reflects the curvy form of Chinese zither and the rhythmic flow of long dancing sleeves. The 4-storey podium consists of high-end retails, a healthcare center, an ice-world, an urban living room and a conference center with a greenhouse garden. 6 sky gardens on different levels offer unique vertical urban spaces. The new landmark will redefine the city skyline.

The iconic building replicates the unique silhouette of a bamboo shoot – a plant commonly found in Taichung which symbolizes prosperity in Chinese culture. The faceted façade undulates with horizontal awnings with distinctive rain covers and window-walls to emphasise the unique shape and curves of the building. The elliptical shape allows maximum light penetration to the office area.

Its natural-lit courtyard atrium connects all parts of the office. High visual connectivity and common spaces along the atrium encourage collaboration and cohesion, fostering a close-knit community. The building uses indentations to introduce greenery and shifting floorplates to reduce solar heat gain.

The 210m high tower is a mixed use development comprised of the Taichung Bank Headquarter, a 5 star hotel and a private VIP club at the top. Instead of stacking all these functions in a singular tower, the design intention is to create two separate towers with a vertical void in the centre. A series of ‘float¬ing’ volumes which house the large functions such as the ballroom, swimming pool, and meeting rooms will be situated inside the void to create a unique iconic space facing the main road.

The Beacon Serviced Apartment and Retail
The neighbourhood of Mongkok is one of the most densely populated areas in Hong Kong. Buildings within such context have sought different ways to maximize their views while negotiating the issue of hyper density. The desire for views has historically created illegal iron balconies which have grown to become part of the iconic Mongkok streetscape. Situated within such a context, our design reinterprets the illegal structures within modern statutory requirements. The programme of serviced apartments within the density of Mongkok led us to reconsider the iron balconies as a point of inspiration.

The development is set to become the largest commercial complex with dining and entertainment facilities. It aims to offer multiple experiences to visitors by integrating shopping, food beverage, culture and leisure into one destination. Furthermore, the development will introduce a number of public and cultural spaces which will blend into the existing urban fabric in continuing the development of Yiwu’s rich cultural heritage.
The design process has responded to the challenging site location and technical restraints while embedding the history and cultural heritage of Yiwu into the design. The development is set to become the largest commercial complex with dining and entertainment facilities. It aims to offer multiple experiences to visitors by integrating shopping, food beverage, culture and leisure into one destination. Shanghai Landmark Center Office / Retail
In response to the neighbourhood and domestic buildings on the east and north, this commercial development retreats from south to north with the retail components, embracing an open central plaza for outdoor activities. The buildings are placed along the site edges to reserve open spaces at the corners. The massing and orientation of the complex facilitate daylight penetration and ventilation to the adjoining residences. The central plaza connects the exterior with the retail components above and below the ground, also extends the circulation from the adjacent communities to the complex.
